CERIS-ULB Diplomatic School of Brussels

We are very pleased to announce that the CERIS and the Universit Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) have concluded a privileged partnership agreement in postgraduate training in the fields of international relations and development. The agreement provides for the common issuance of recognized CERIS-ULB certificates. In a common declaration, the Rector of the Universit Libre de Bruxelles, Professor Yvon Englert and Ambassador (h) Jan De Bock, President of CERIS have welcomed the creation of this new international center of learning in the capital of Europe, called to become the "Diplomatic School of Brussels". The partnership convention foresees that ULBs sister university, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) will be invited to join this partnership. The lectures and all CERIS-ULB activities, will be delivered in English. For classes and seminars, the ULB provides CERIS with the renovated setting of the Salle Baugniet of the S Building on the Solbosch Campus, where CERIS will also establish its new offices as well as its headquarters.

The Opening lecture of CERIS-ULB was held on Wednesday October 17th, 2018  at 6pm On this occasion, Professor Dominique Mosi delivered an inaugural lecture on The New World Disorder". Professor Mosi is one of the major world political scientists. He is one of the co-founders of the Paris-based "Institut Franais des Relations Internationales"(IFRI) where he acts as a senior advisor. He was also the Pierre Keller Visiting Professor at Harvard University, and the chairholder for Geopolitics at the College of Europe, the oldest educational institution in European affairs. Professor Mosi is a fellow of the CEDEP, the European Centre for Executive Development. He has lectured at Sciences Po Paris, King's College London and he is currently Special Advisor to the Institut Montaigne Paris. Professor Mosi regularly contributes op-ed articles and essays for the Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, the Project Syndicate as well as Die Welt and Der Standard.
