Mr. Adrianus Koetsenruijter

Head of South America division of the European External Action Service-EEAS

Biography

Mr. Adrianus Koetsenruijter is currently head of South America division of the European External Action Service-EEAS and he has a long career in the European Institutions. In particular, before 2012, he has served the European External Action Service as Ambassador in Colombia, Ecuador, Tunisia, Libya and the African Development Bank. Moreover, he has also a previous experience as Head of the Unit on the economic and trade cooperation of Latin America in DG Development. Between 1998 and 2000, he was negotiator for the EU-ACP (Cotonou) Agreement.
